  16. Actually, it seems that the announcements of these big name mergers is 
  17. analogous to the disinformation campaign during the cold war between the 
  18. USA and the (former) USSR.  Sometimes it seems that it's just a fishing 
  19. expedition to temporarily paralyze the market.

  21. I'm sure that MicroSoft announced and hyped Windows95 (which didn't bring 
  22. any new technology to the industry) early in an effort to kill OS/2 Warp.
